Audition has a wide variety of game modes to choose from so that players with different skill levels and game-play preferences can pick the mode that is just right for them.
4-Key & 8-Key
Depending on the game mode, the core game-play will consist of using either a 4-Key control or 8-Key control.

INDIVIDUAL MODES
Individual modes are basically a free-for-all where players can compete with other players and battle it out for the highest score!

Practice Mode - 4-Key & 8-Key New to the game? Fear not, as Practice Mode allows players to practice and perfect the basic timing and game-play needed to become an Audition superstar. Practice on your own or compete against others. Available with both 4-Key and 8-Key controls. |

NORMAL INDIVIDUAL MODE The most basic mode that is perfect for novice players. Battle with up to 6 players in an individual dance free-for-all. This mode has a mix of normal moves and fancy freestyle dance moves to really wow your opponents! |

FREESTYLE BATTLE MODE This mode gives you the freedom to show your individuality through sophisticated freestyle dance moves. Compete against up to 6 players and toggle between the 4-Key and 8-Key to perform a wide variety of moves. |

CHOREOGRAPHY MODE This mode allows players to dance as a choreographed unit. Sync your steps to the beat and try to keep up! |
 |
CHOREOGRAPHY MODE ?4-Key & 8-Key This mode allows players to dance in a synchronized step. Earn lots of points by pulling off a string of erfect?combinations and earn even more points during Crazy Dance Time and see an amazing finishing move to top things off! This mode is available as a 4-Key as well as 8-Key control. |

DYNAMIC MODE ?4-Key & 8-Key This mode is very similar to the Choreography mode in that players can dance as a single dance unit, but will also be given the spotlight to individually shine by pulling off complex freestyle dance moves to really get the crowd going! Dance as a group, but also show off your individual talent! This mode is available with both 4-Key and 8-Key controls. |
GROUP MODES
Group modes require players to cooperate as a team and coordinate their dance moves together as one unit in order to win the game. It's not about the individual, it's about the crew!

NORMAL GROUP MODE Essentially the same as Normal Individual Mode, except that it is played as a team. Missing notes will directly affect the entire group instead of just the individual. |

CHOREOGRAPHY GROUP MODE, 4-Key & 8-Key Essentially the same as Choreography Mode, except players will have to perform the same freestyle moves that are presented as well as play as a team. That mean missing notes will directly affect the entire group instead of just the individual. |

B-BOY BATTLE MODE Teams of 1-on-1, 2-on-2, or 3-on-3 can battle head-to-head in this intense freestyle dance-off. Players will be given the chance to perform a variety of freestyle moves that the opposing team will have to counter in order to come out on top! Who is up to the challenge? |

COUPLE MODE Love is in the air! Pair up with a partner (male and female) and compete against other couples to see which two has what it takes to win! A couple can also gain earts?if they perform a erfect?on the same turn. Gain 5 earts?and couples will have the ability to officially be an Audition Couple in the game! |

DYNAMIC GROUP MODE Essentially the same as Dynamic Mode except that it is played as a group, which means that the whole team will be penalized if one person misses a note. |

NIGHT CLUB MODE This mode is very similar to B-Boy Mode where teams go head-to-head and battle each other for supremacy, but the stage and dance moves are set in a night clubbing atmosphere. |
OTHER MODES

BATTLE PARTY MODE Put your skills to the test by challenging an NPC (Non-Playable Character), or a computer controlled character in a dance battle to the finish! Up to 5 players whose characters are at least Level 6 can wager a certain amount of BEATS to play this mode in order to gain even more BEATS by beating the NPC. |

ONE-TWO PARTY MODE Team up with your buddies or other dancers and follow a imon-Says?type of dance mode where you have to follow the rhythm, beat and dance moves of the NPC, or computer controlled character. |

BEAT-UP MODE The Beat-Up Mode offers players a unique key interface and dancing styles. You must press the corresponding arrows using the 8-Key configuration and the Space Bar when lines cross the center of the Beat-Up bar below. Gain more points by completing strings of combo's and dust off the competition! |

CLUB DANCE MODE 3 girls and 3 guys take turns picking their partners (press F1, F2 or F3) and compete with other couples in a club dance off. Similar to Couple Mode, players can gain earts?and have the chance to become an Audition couple. |
 |
STORY MODE Level 6 players and up can go through this single-player portion of Audition where you can gain experience (EXP) points and Beats by going through a storyline that pits players against different computer controlled players or NPC's in various stages. |
